đ§Â Simplify Your Supplies
Hey there, and welcome to Day 2 of the Classroom Reset Challenge!
You crushed Day 1âand even if you just cleared one small pile, that was a big step. Today, weâre keeping that momentum going by tackling another stress zone: your classroom supplies.
Because letâs be real⌠the supplies have taken over.
There are half-used glue sticks, rogue crayons, and bins full of âIâll deal with that later.â
Today, we deal with itâin a simple, doable way.
đ Your Day 2 Task: Simplify, Sort, and Inventory Your Supplies
Letâs break it into two parts.
1. Reset Your Student Supplies
Whether you use community or individual supplies, nowâs the time to simplify:
đ For community supplies:
-
Have students sort crayons by color into baggies
-
Return anything still usable (like pencils, markers, or scissors)
-
Anything they no longer need? Send it home!
đ For individual supplies:
Have students return any classroom-owned items:
-
Sharpies
-
Highlighters
-
Classroom folders
-
Clipboards
-
Scissors
-
Glue sticks
-
Turn-in trays or supply bins
Grab your classroom caddies and containers and take them home to toss in the dishwasher. Youâll thank yourself when everything comes back clean and ready to go in August.
⨠Pro Tip: If you have unopened or lightly used supplies, refill your caddies now and tuck them away for back-to-school. One less thing to worry about later!
2. Quick Supply Inventory
This is going to save you time and money later.
Most teachers keep extra supplies in a cabinet or closetâso today, open it up and do a quick walkthrough.
To make it easy, Iâve created a downloadable Supply Inventory List with common classroom items. Just jot down how many you have next to each item.
âď¸ Bonus: If your school lets you place a supply order before summer, this list will make it quick and painless.
âď¸ Even if not, youâll know what to shop for when the sales hit in July.

đ¸ Donât forget to share your progress in the Facebook group!
A before-and-after of your supply shelf, your sorted crayons, or even your squeaky-clean caddies counts. Youâll be entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card just for posting!
And if youâre thinking, âWow, why donât I do this more often?ââinside The Organized Teacher Club, I help you set up sustainable supply systems that make this feel automatic instead of overwhelming.
But for today, just focus on this:
Clean one area. Reset your supplies. And take a quick inventory.
Youâre making spaceânot just in your classroom, but in your head.
Iâll see you tomorrow for Day 3, where Iâll show you how to get your students to help with the cleanupâwithout the chaos.
Youâve got this. đ
